What the record contains
The government's own forms
The federal W-4 and the USCIS I-9 (edition 01/20/25) are the agencies' own PDFs, filled in and flattened. Each is checked against a pinned fingerprint before it is used. Any state.
Answers only the hire can give
Citizenship status and W-4 filing status are always the new hire's own answer. We never fill them in for them.
A certificate on every signed document
Who signed, when, from which IP address, the consent they agreed to, and the document's SHA-256, on a page at the end of the PDF. The hire ticks a consent box, and the consent version and text are recorded with the signature.
A record that can't be edited or deleted
Signed documents and the activity log can't be edited or deleted through the product. The log records who did what and when, including every time a full SSN is revealed.
Private by default
Files are stored privately and handed out only after a check and a log entry. One agency's staff can't see another's. SSNs are stored encrypted, and seeing a full number is limited to owners and admins.
Your documents, as you wrote them
Bring your own PDFs. Their pages are used as you supplied them, with only the signature and fields you placed added, and the original is hash-checked before each signing.
